A 3D specimen of a butterfly. The body parts have been embossed separately, cut out, layered and the wings were painted with an iridescent pigment that shows blue or purple depending on the angle. The assembled specimen is pinned over a textured backing and set in a deep black wooden box frame with a glass front.
